AIFC's
HISTORY
The Arizona Interagency
Farmworkers Coalition, Inc. (AIFC), is a
non-profit Arizona base social service organization
founded in 1991. The AIFC coalition formed in
response to a vast need to coordinate fragmented
services from multidisciplinary service agencies
and organizations.
The purpose of the AIFC
is to identify Arizona's farm workers social service
needs and to establish the initial frame work
between the farm worker and the service agency
fulfilling that social service need. The farm
workers working and living conditions are directly
affected by various policies, including employment,
free trade, health care, immigration, low-income
housing, workers protection standards and various
other factors specific to the farm working community.
Consequently, AIFC advocates on behalf of this
vulnerable and vital component of our society.
